Qamoos Bukhari

Qamoos Bukhari is a curator and writer whose work lies at the interface between international pre- modern and contemporary art. He has worked on exhibitions including the inugural edition of Bukhara Biennial 2025 (Uzbekistan) and The Imaginary Institution of India: Art 1975–1998 (Barbican Centre, London, 2024–25). Previously, he catalogued modern and contemporary art from the Middle East and North Africa at Christie’s London and led exhibition and acquisition projects at the National Trust UK as National Curator for South Asia. Qamoos has contributed to the ongoing travelling retrospective of James McNeill Whistler at Tate Britain and curated the recent solo show of Raqs Media Collective, Time Is Never Ripe (2026) at Ladakh Arts and Media Organisation.
