Moving Images

Moving Images is a screening programme that brings film into dialogue with the questions animating contemporary art practice, across documentary, experimental, essay, and fictional forms. Each screening opens into a conversation with the filmmakers, scholars and artists in dialogue with the audience.

The fourth edition of Palestine Cinema Days Around the World is being held under the line "Cinema Across Borders. Stories Beyond Erasure.", asking cinemas and cultural spaces to carry Palestinian images, memories and voices across borders. Our selection takes up this call by exploring the many ways truth is kept alive: through personal and collective archives, women's testimonies, and the knowledge held in land, plants and everyday practices.

Never before screened in Delhi, these works follow the quiet life of matter: coal, salt, iron, water and air. These elements become vessels for remembrance, carrying traces of lost landscapes, cosmic histories, violence and survival. Travelling from Ladakh to the city, the videos complete a circuit between the two places. They are not documentaries but works to be encountered as experiences.
