Ranbir Kaleka

Ranbir Kaleka is a contemporary multimedia artist whose practice spans painting and trans-media works combining conceptualist sophistication with a calibrated opulence of image. Over four decades he has produced a remarkable body of paintings vibrant with phantasmagoria and epic disquiet, alongside arrangements of painted and projected image that cohabit in the same space — producing what critic Ranjit Hoskote describes as a ‘meticulously calibrated adjacency of media’ that breaks open differences of spatiality, temporality and sensation. He has exhibited widely since the 1980s in India
