Ruma Choudhury

Ruma Choudhury is a visual artist based in Santiniketan working across painting, papermaking, performance and photography. She completed her BFA and MFA in Painting from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan in 2014 and 2016 respectively. She has been part of several exhibitions including a solo visual episode titled Existence as part of the curated group project Raconteur at A.M. Studio, Kolkata (2018. Choudhury has received the India Artist Relief Fund by MAP and 1Shanthiroad (2021), Musui Art Foundation Scholarship (2020), Academy of Fine Arts Award, Kolkata (2016), and the National Scholarship in Painting by the Ministry of Culture (2015–16).
