Iram Ghufran

Iram Ghufran is a filmmaker, artist and educator, working at the intersection of research, writing and non-fiction moving image. She holds an MA in Mass Communication from the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre at Jamia Millia Islamia University (2003), and a PhD from the Centre for Research and Education in Art and Media (CREAM), University of Westminster (2023). 

Iram's work has been supported by Public Service Broadcasting Trust, Arts Network Asia, Pro Helvetia Swiss Arts Council, Sandarbh and Westheavens. Her films have been screened at various art and cinematic platforms including Visions du Reel International Film Festival,  Forum Expanded at Berlin Film Festival, International Film Festival of India (IFFI), International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFF-K), and Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition, among others. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal for Artistic Research (JAR) published by the Society for Artistic Research.

Currently, Iram is an Associate Professor at the Department of Art, Media and Performance, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi NCR.
