Katya García-Antón

Art Historian, Curator, Writer and Researcher

Katya García-Antón is an Oslo based curator and museum director. She was Director of CAC Genève, OCA Norway and the Museum of Art of Northern Norway. In Biennale Arte she curated the Spanish Pavilion (2011), Nordic Pavilion (2015) & The Sámi Pavilion (2022). She curated “The Epic” public programme, Bukhara Biennial (2025); is co-curating “Guanches y Magos” (2026) & curating “Ithell Colquhoun” (2028), TEA Museum, Spain; and is also co-curating “Threading Landscapes” (2026), Park Abbey, Belgium. She contributed to TATE’s conference “Indigenous Futures. Embodied Knowledges” (2025) and curated the conference “Indigenous” by TAKE on Art Delhi (2025). Recent publications include The Word for World is Water (2026); Indigenous Histories Anthology (2024); and Art and Solidarity Reader- Radical Actions, Politics and Friendships (2021).
