Siddharth Sivakumar

Curator and Art Critic, Curator-Director of Bengal Biennale 2024-25 and Director of Curation & Artist Relations at Institute of Contemporary Indian Art

Siddharth Sivakumar is a curator, writer, and cultural strategist with experience across art institutions, publishing, and the art market. As Curator and Director of the inaugural Bengal Biennale (2024–2025), he built a platform foregrounding regional artistic practices while engaging national and international discourses. Previously, as Head of Visual Arts and Publishing at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity, he curated over thirty exhibitions and helped establish the multidisciplinary AMI Arts Festival. His practice spans historical research exhibitions, artist-focused projects, publishing, and large public programmes. Currently, he serves as Director of Curation & Artist Relations at AstaGuru, focusing on artist visibility, critical discourse, and long-term cultural infrastructure in modern and contemporary Indian art. He is also shaping exhibition programmes for the Institute of Contemporary Indian Art (ICIA), AstaGuru’s sister concern, collaborating with artists and collections for national and international presentations.
